Students at Georgia Military College in Augusta, Georgia, receive more than just an academic education. They also receive an education that helps them to build character and personal values. Georgia Military College’s academics include associate’s degrees in: * Communications * Criminal Justice * Education * English * General Studies * History * Paralegal Studies * Pre-Nursing * Social Work All of GMC’s classes also integrate character education or the study of personal ethics. In fulfillment of the character education component, all students must do a certain amount of community service, as well. Large numbers of GMC’s students transfer to four-year programs and obtain a bachelor’s degree. Other graduates go on to successful careers in their field. GMC’s college life activities give students the chance to cultivate leadership skills and pursue outside interests. College life activities include academic, special interest, literary, and honors clubs and organizations. GMC offers a large number of scholarship programs. These include academic scholarships, ROTC scholarships, and scholarships for adult students. Students may receive additional types of financial aid as well, such as loans and grants. Applicants must submit an admissions application, with a fee, along with high school transcripts or GED scores. Home-schooled students must submit SAT or ACT scores.
