Job Summary:

The Vehicle Decal Technician is responsible for the precise application of vinyl graphics, decals, and wraps to commercial vehicles. This role ensures that all decals are applied according to customer specifications and company quality standards, contributing to the professional appearance and branding of each vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for decal application, including cleaning, measuring, and marking.

• Apply vinyl graphics, decals, and wraps using proper tools and techniques to ensure alignment and

adhesion.

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or design layouts.

• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and any issues.

• Assist with decal design layout or production as needed.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1+ year of experience in vinyl decal application or a related field preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with tools such as squeegees, heat guns, and cutting tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods, work at heights, climb ladders

• Automotive or body shop experience is a plus

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Tasks require the regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work.
  • Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • May involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).

Environmental Exposures: Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as odors, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials, toxic agents, machinery, heavy equipment, vibrations, or traffic hazards.
