Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. May also provide recommendations for residing of systems where applicable. This role involves working on projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement electrical systems for products.

• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for electrical projects.

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical equipment.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, and technicians.

• Research and apply new technologies to improve efficiency and performance.

• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical design and engineering preferably within the large truck manufacturing industry.

Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred).
• Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and power distribution.

Working Conditions:

• Office and field settings; occasional travel may be required to other company sites. (no remote work available)
• Ability to work on-site for inspections and installations.
