Position Summary:
The Title Clerk is responsible for processing and managing all vehicle title and registration documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. This role is critical in supporting funding, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process title applications, registrations, and related documentation.
• Ensure all title paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Verify lienholder information and ensure proper recording on all documents.
• Communicate with DMV, lenders, and customers to resolve title issues.
• Track and follow up on title status, corrections, and pending items.
• Maintain organized records of all title transactions and documentation.
• Identify and correct errors in paperwork prior to submission.
• Support accounting and F&I teams to ensure deals are funded properly.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Title Clerk or in automotive/vehicle administration preferred.
• Knowledge of state titling and registration requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skill.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with commercial or specialty vehicle titling.
• Familiarity with electronic lien and title (ELT) systems.
• Understanding of financing documentation and lienholder requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies.
